“You must be shapeless, formless, like water.
When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the
cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it
becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a
teapot, it becomes the teapot.
Water can drip and it can crash.
Become like water my friend.”

Sometimes art resonates with music, poetry and even other art. For me, this photograph brings my mind to Georges Seurat’s A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. A stunning example of “new” impressionism. To create this masterpiece, Seurat made over seventy preliminary drawings and oil sketches, completing his tour de force between 1884 -1886.
